National Sales Director Gives Southern Flair to Tea
Ron Smith Brings19 Years Experience to China Mist Team
SCOTTSDALE, AZ – November 9, 2006 – China Mist Iced Tea Company
announced the appointment of Ron Smith as their new National Sales
Director.
Smith grew up in Oklahoma and brings southern charisma and
19-years of experience in the Wholesale Adult Beverage Industry
with him to China Mist.
He joins China Mist Tea Company from E. & J. Gallo Winery, where
he worked in many major domestic and international markets,
focusing primarily in the commercial foodservice sector. He worked
in different positions of increasing responsibilities from
Distributor Key Account Executive and Sales Management to Supplier
Representative and most recently as Director of On-Sale Training,
Southern Region based in Dallas, Texas. |

As a National Sales Director, Ron Smith will assist current
distributors with new business development through implementation
of sales and marketing programs that contribute significantly to
China Mist’s market positioning. He will develop new business
relationships and provide support to the current base of
customers, in the national account environment. Additionally, he
will identify and recommend new distribution partners throughout
his region- Southern United States.

Operating Officer of China Mist Tea Company. “His experience with
the wine industry, and acquaintance with all the complexities of
wine, gives him in-depth knowledge of observing and tasting teas
in a similar manner. ”
China Mist Tea Company was co-created by John Martinson and Dan
Schweiker in 1982 with gourmet iced teas blended for the
foodservice industry.
Years later, the hot tea brand, Leaves Pure Teas, was acquired
along with Tea Smith and Founder of Leaves Pure Teas Richard
Guzauskas. In 2005, Martinson and Schweiker passed the teaspoon to
Rommie Flammer, who leads China Mist as President.
Additionally in 2005, China Mist became the exclusive importer of
Mokarabia Real Italian Coffee. China Mist Teas and Mokarabia Real
Italian Coffees are distributed internationally and available for
retail sale through chinamist.com.
